Run away with Daniel’s beautiful poem in this week’s Creative Fridays.
We were standing underneath an apple tree,
When you turned and said to me
So softly that I could barely hear:
‘I’m growing old, I fear,
I can feel it all the time.
Take me somewhere distant where I know you’re mine.’
I took you and hand-in-hand we went.
Your soft bright face, effortlessly sent
All self-doubt far away.
And there we could stay,
And time would pity and wouldn’t take,
Our time from us for our care’s sake.
