Exeter students set to appear on BBC Radio 1

678

A team of four Exeter students are set to star on Greg James’ BBC Radio 1 show on Friday 30th January.

The boys, who know each other through Xpression FM, will be travelling to the BBC studios in London to compete against another team in ‘Feet up Friday.’

Jake Topp (Xpression Deputy Station Manager), Ben Cartwright (Head of Sports), Sam Buxey (Friday 4-6 Presenter) and Nick Lawley (Friday 12-2 Presenter), will pick a playlist between them. At 4:30pm the public will vote on which playlist they prefer and the winning team will take over the Radio 1 show for an hour.

Nick Lawley, a third year International Relations student, told Exeposé: ‘We need Exeter students to vote! As four friends who love radio, we decided to enter the competition for fun. Plus, Greg James still owes Jake a jaegarbomb, so we are going to get it.’

You can tune in to hear the show on Friday at 4pm on BBC Radio 1.
