Staff and students are being encouraged to utilise a new park and ride service that will operate for the next five weeks as severe weather conditions cause an unprecedented demand for on campus parking. It will be free to staff and students on presentation of their University identification card.

Starting on Monday 17th of February, the service will operate between Exeter Arena Athletics Stadium in Summer Lane, Whipton, to the Stocker Road Entrance of the Streatham Campus, with the stadium able to accommodate up to 400 vehicles. Leaving every 20 minutes, the journey from the stadium should take around 10 minutes, although commuters are encouraged to consider delays caused by traffic during peak times. It will run from 8.30am to 11.00am, and 4pm to 6.30pm.

The situation for St. Lukes Campus is being monitored, but parking has not been an issue so far.

While such measures are being taken to assure the smooth running of travel to the university, the weather is taking its toll on campus buildings and foliage and staff and students are urged to take care.
