[dropcap size=small bg_color=”#16431f”]F[/dropcap]ed up with the lack of accuracy and common sense shown by Mark Lawrenson on a weekly basis, Exeposé will be undertaking their own predictions on Premier League fixtures throughout the season. Sports Editor Rob Cross will pit his wits against a university guest each week. To kick off proceedings is the incumbent AU President, Jack Bristow.

In his own words: I work within the Athletic Union and alongside the Guild sabbatical team to represent all students and help deliver the great sport and physical activity opportunities we enjoy at Exeter. If you have any questions about sport at Exeter then feel free to come and talk to me in my office up at the sports park or in the SABB’s office in DH1.
The end of last season was particularly exciting for me. As a Villa fan it was great to stay in the premier league but heart-breaking to miss out in the FA Cup final. This year, I’m fully expecting that we won’t avoid relegation, especially now we’ve lost Delph, Benteke and Cleverley. I don’t want to try and predict who will win the league; I just hope it will be a closer competition than last year. For this week’s matches I’ve played it safe with my predictions. I doubt we’ll see any major upsets when everyone is fresh at the start of the season. That being said, I’ve predicted that Stoke will beat Liverpool 6-1 again, because most of the people in the AU office are Liverpool fans, and I just wanted to remind them that that happened.
