Bill Douglas Museum pop-up cinema event

by Ben Londesbrough

After the success of a similar event last year, the University is playing host to a pop-up cinema event at the Bill Douglas Museum. A group of postgraduate Film Business students are running the events, divided into 5 groups, each making a programme of their choice.

The events at ’Bill Douglas Pop-Up Cinema’ will be tackling a few themes, including Fantasy, Love, CCTV, Fashion and Female filmmakers. The event will spotlight a selection of creative short films from talented filmmakers from around the world, ranging from fiction and animation to experimental film, providing a fun and innovative experience. If you haven’t been to the Bill Douglas Museum before (you should, it’s on campus, and it’s very cool), this is the perfect opportunity. The event is free, and warm drinks will be available on the night.

The event will be on 8th December, 2015. It will start in the morning and will end at 7pm. There will be a total of five exhibitions happening, and each of them will include sixty minutes of short films, which then will be followed by Q&As.

It is a free event, but spaces are limited. So if you want to reserve a space for any of the events send an email to kaleidoscope.popup.cinema@gmail.com, or check out their Facebook page here.
