Distinguished alumni from the University of Exeter are set to appear in a festive edition of University Challenge.
Airing on Christmas Eve at 7:30pm, the show will see the team compete against Magdalen College, Oxford, to answer Christmas-themed questions from host Jeremy Paxman.
On the Exeter team are wildlife presenter Nick Baker, who graduated from Exeter in 1993 and famously presented CBBC’s The Really Wild Show, and Barnaby Edwards, who plays a Dalek in Doctor Who.
Fighting them for a place in the semi-finals will be documentary filmmaker Louis Theroux, best known for his Weird Weekends and Extreme Love series, and popular science writer and author of The Rational Optimist, Matt Ridley.
