Beauty and fashion vloggers to follow in 2016

YouTube began as a small social platform where individuals could virtually share their thoughts and passions. Now, it’s become a multibillionaire platform with over 4 billion videos viewed per day. With its worldwide power, beauty video bloggers are reaping the benefits. There is no need to purchase high-end magazines such as Vogue or Cosmopolitan when, with one click, anyone can access over 500 beauty tutorials. In 2015, even more beauty and fashion vloggers are making a name for themselves with their tips and tutorials, and are acquiring millions from their franchises. Here is a list of three top beauty and fashion vloggers on YouTube.

Michelle Phan (@michellephan)

It shouldn’t be surprising that the Vietnamese-native Michelle Phan, shows up on this list, for anyone interested in the field of beauty. In 2015, Michelle Phan made Forbes’ ‘30 under 30’ list at number 27, due to her growing YouTube support and endorsement deals.  Michelle began posting 7-minute beauty tutorials on YouTube in 2007. Soon her popularity surpassed six figures and she created an industry for herself. Her goal in joining YouTube, was to redefine and challenge the beauty standards in the industry. She has done just that promoting her trendsetter personality worldwide. Her videos hold no bounds: ranging from themed eye tutorials, to ‘What’s in my bag’ videos, to DIY projects for pets. What is unique about Michelle, is the versatility and quirkiness that she brings to her tutorials. In the search for original and trendy make up or clothing inspirations, Michelle Phan is definitely the YouTuber for you.

Lauren Curtis (@lozcurtis)

Lauren Curtis’s cheeky Aussie persona has earned her over 3 million YouTube subscribers. Her videos primarily comprise of the process of getting ready and the final look, which seems almost effortless. She emanates the everyday college girl, who loves getting dolled up but doesn’t necessarily have the funds for it. But, no worries, she understands our struggle by providing discounts on our favourite products at the end of her videos. From seasonal-themed going out looks, to 5-minute everyday make up videos, Lauren Curtis prepares her viewers for any possibility. Lauren launched her own website, which discloses everything needed to be the most confident, most successful you. The lifestyle and advice columns, highlight everyone’s day-to-day struggle with body issues, self-confidence and self-acceptance. With her blonde hair, and amazing makeup looks, Lauren Curtis is ultimately the perfect cute package.

Chloe Morello (@chloemorello)

Chloe Morello is the perfect cool girl to follow (think Alexa Chung of the blog world). Her looks are fresh, hip and easily manageable. She has become so influential in the beauty industry that companies such as Sephora and L’Oreal, have added her to their brand. But, what makes her videos so enjoyable is her charismatic energy and witty sense of humour. Through her videos, Chloe projects her passion for all things fashion and beauty in an authentic manner. She invites her subscribers into her world where the content is genuine and candid. Going into 2016 Chloe is definitely a beauty vlogger to watch.
