Snow expected in Exeter next week

by Kate Jones

According to a recent forecast, Exeter could be set to receive snow this coming month.

The Met Office has predicted that between Tuesday 12 January and Thursday 21 January, there is the possibility of showers falling as small amounts of sleet or snow in the South of England.

“Tuesday will be largely unsettled with showery conditions interspersed with some more organised spells of rain, and snow on Northern hills”, the Met Office stated.

It has been been predicted that the heaviest rain and strongest winds will probably occur in the southwest and northeast.

Snow will possibly hit the South of the UK from as early on as Wednesday, reported the Met Office, stating that “a colder spell is expected to develop with widespread overnight frosts”.

The Met Office said there is “significant uncertainty” for forecasts beyond January 21.
