The Witcher 3 was the most talked about game of 2015 according to analyst Thomas Bidaux. After analysing millions of articles The Witcher 3 got 51,098 article mentions, with Fallout 4 coming in a close second with 50,144. It’s worth noting that Fallout didn’t get announced until June, meaning if Fallout was announced in at the start of the year it would’ve probably been first. On the console side the PlayStation brand beat the Xbox brand with 562,168 compared to the 396,488 respectively. What’s even more amazing is that the PlayStation 4 had more mentions than the whole of Xbox with the PS4 getting 460,043 articles. Most commentators thought PlayStation had a less than stellar year with Until Dawn and Bloodborne being the only breakout hits; it really shows the strength of the PlayStation brand, fans, and games.
