EURFC Players Dominate England Students’ Squad

by Lara Hopkins

When England Students play Ireland Students at Trinity College Dublin on Saturday 9th April, EURFC will have a greater impression on the team than any university club, boasting five of the starting line-up and another on the bench.

The University of Exeter’s impact on the 30 man England Students squad is very much like Saracens’ on the England team. The 2016 BUCS gold medallists have provided eight players, compared to fellow finalist Loughborough’s three. Hartpury have the second highest representation with four.

England Students come into this match having suffered a close 30-27 defeat away to France last weekend. In that game EURFC had six players involved in the match day squad. The squad had been training with Championship side London Scottish ahead of their game in Blois.

Congratulations to all involved.

EURFC England Student squad members:
Paul Davies
Freddie Hosking
Harry Ledger
Tom Lawday
Oli Claxton
Sam Waltier
James Doe
