The University of Exeter has slipped three places in the latest Complete University Guide rankings.
Exeter was previously 10th in the rankings but has now fallen to 13th in the 2017 update. The entire top 5 remained unchanged with Cambridge retaining first place.
Dr Bernard Kingston, principal author of TheCompleteUniversityGuide.co.uk, said:
“There is a considerable degree of stability at the upper end of the league table this year. While dramatic changes may be newsworthy, this stability indicates that the rankings are robust and credible for young people seeking a university place – our primary purpose.”
Bath finished highest in the South West and is now in 12th place – just ahead of Exeter.
The rankings assess 127 UK universities across a number of factors including quality of research, student satisfaction, graduate prospects, student-staff ratio, spending, entry standards, good honours and degree completion rates.
However, it’s not all bad news – Exeter recently came 6th in another league table based on student opinion.
