Poltimore Sessions | Cara Ludlow

Exeposé Music is proud to present – in collaboration with XTV and Poltimore Festival – Poltimore Sessions. Set at the historic Poltimore House, the coming sessions will showcase our favourite local musicians in the build-up to Poltimore 2016.

Cara Ludlow has one of the best voices in the South West, but she doesn’t shout about it. Citing Dylan, Suzanne Vega, and Kate Bush as influences, Cara plays wherever she can from street corners to bars, a tendency reflected in her lyrical vignettes of the powerful minutæ of human life. Setting her soft but confident voice against delicate fingerpicked guitar, Cara’s indie-folk is deserving of a space like Poltimore, and a far wider platform.

Produced by Chris Filsell, Tristan Gatward and Joe Stewart.

With thanks to Richard Griffiths, Harrison Hughes, Sam Hutchings, Tara Jennett, Jack Powys Maurice, Ruth Cowley and ExeTech.
