Rocksteady have confirmed that they will be releasing the Batman: Return to Arkham collection, comprised of the first instalments to the Arkham trilogy, on July 29th for £40 in the UK. It will appear on both PS4 and Xbox One, along with all of the DLC releasing alongside each game.
Originally running on Unreal Engine 3, Rocksteady has worked with Chinese studio Virtuos to improve the graphics, models and environments of both games and get them running on Unreal Engine 4.
Batman: Arkham Asylum follows Batman’s pursuit of the Joker after his escape from Amadeus Arkham’s iconic lunatic asylum, achieving a Metacritic score of 92 on PS3 and Xbox 360.
The other game in the collection, Batman: Arkham City, saw the Batman take his vigilante fight to a section of Gotham that became a huge new super prison to house the city’s most dangerous criminals. City was also released on last generation consoles and reached 96 on Metacritic.
Rocksteady confirmed the collection’s existence with a video showing off the bundles spruced-up new looks. Check out the video above for the trailer.
