The Guardian University Guide 2017 has welcomed thirteen subjects at the University of Exeter into its Top 10.
The rankings – published this week – also saw Exeter as a whole ranking 11th out of 119 UK institutions.
With both Religious Studies and Theology (2nd) and Sports Science (5th) maintaining their top five positions in the rankings, Exeter Medical School’s Medicine programme was once again ranked best in the South West.
Others that made the cut include Forensic Science and Archaeology (6th), English and Creative Writing (7th), Engineering: Materials and Mineral (7th) Politics (7th), History (8th), Sociology (8th), Biosciences (9th), Classics and Ancient History (9th), History of Art (9th) and Philosophy (9th).
Exeter’s ranking 6th in the Russell Group of leading research intensive universities also saw it pushing ahead of the likes of Birmingham and Edinburgh.
The Guardian rankings come following the news that Exeter was placed sixth in the UK, eighth in Europe and top 40 in the world in the CWTS Leiden Ranking, which offers key insights into the scientific performance of more than 800 major universities globally.
