‘Is she a stripper, a rapper, a singer?’  Cardi B proves she’s proudly all that and more on debut album ‘Invasion of Privacy’.

You’d be forgiven for thinking Cardi B’s just appeared on the music scene, it certainly feels that way. With success after success from Bodak Yellow being the first chat topping female rapper without any features since 1998, to the perhaps surprising Finesse collab with Bruno Mars the only way is up from musical debut in 2015 on remix of Shaggy’s single Boom Boom and mixtapes ‘Gangsta Bitch Music’ Vol 1 & 2 in 2016 an 2017.

Throughout there’s guaranteed hit after hit, this album is nothing if not the perfect soundtrack to hype you up for your night out…

Although, if you keep up with the latest dramas you know, she’d hate me to say, it definitely shares similarities to Nicki Minaj’s ‘The Pink Print’,  this is a deeply personal album in blink and you miss it lyrics of her life story so far in her modern-day whirlwind rags to riches tale. Cardi B manages to achieve vulnerability and brashness in a perfect effortless balance. Cardi B is caving a name for herself with this debut, and she’s making sure you know who she is from day one.

Peppered with impressive collaborations for a debut from Kehlani, Chance The Rapper and more there seems to be no way she can possibly fail. Throughout there’s guaranteed hit after hit, this album is nothing if not the perfect soundtrack to hype you up for your night out and it’s full of tracks you’re going to scream for in the club when you hear the opening bars.

Cardi B is easily underestimated, she dares you to but you shouldn’t. Give Invasion of privacy a listen, you won’t regret it, I promise you even if you don’t love it, you’ll have a fun time. In her final track she teams up with SZA to announce  ‘I think us bad bitches is a gift from God’, and I’m inclined to agree.
