Foodie trends that students will love and hate this 2016

To usher in the New Year, Pinterest released their predictions for what is going to go viral in the world of food and drink this 2016. This is the year that we are set to turn our student-sized kitchens into breweries Pinterest provides excellent procrastination appeal at the best of times, but the fact that this […]

What’s for breakfast? Christmas ideas

Christmas morning. It’s the one morning of the year that most people will look forward to, and even choose to get up early for. I know – crazy thought – but I hold my hands up, I’m still up at 7am excited to open my stocking and my sisters are never far behind me. Whatever […]

What’s for breakfast? Your drinks guide

So far I’ve explored all things foodie when it comes to breakfast, whether it’s recipe inspiration or a round up of the best Exeter eateries, leaving one early morning essential unnoticed. Breakfast drinks! Whether you like to grab a strong black coffee, nourishing smoothie, or a good old PG tips cuppa, these beverages are all […]

What’s for breakfast? Recipe Inspiration

This week I’ve torn myself away from Exeter eateries and been busy online browsing page upon page of breakfast recipes to bring you some of the very best but more unique breakfast options. It’s been a great excuse for procrastinating on Pinterest, but for the sake of your waistlines, set yourself a limit! Seeing all […]

What’s for breakfast? Take your pick!

There is little I love more than going out for breakfast, much to the disappointment of my boyfriend who would rather sleep the morning away. Luckily for me, when I do manage to persuade him breakfast is worth waking up for, Exeter has a host of quaint, contemporary, up market or all you can eat […]

What’s for breakfast? Take out!

Not the leftover pizza kind, though. I’m not talking about putting your Chinese takeaway in the microwave for a few minutes, either. This week it’s all about breakfasts you can take with you on the go. Getting up in the morning isn’t always the nicest feeling. I’m a morning person and even I don’t wake […]

What’s for breakfast? Apple and cinnamon porridge

Mornings have been making a come back in the last few years. Many of us now wake up every day to a little morning inspiration courtesy of bloggers like Madeleine Shaw or Deliciously Ella. Whether it’s a mouth watering picture of porridge containing seemingly impossible ingredients, (bee pollen, anyone?), or a daily quote, lifestyle bloggers […]

Recipe: Chocolate Orange Marshmallow Crispy Cakes

Take a step back to your childhood with this recipe for Chocolate Orange Marshmallow Crispy Cake. If you love to bake but are living in catered accommodation, this is definitely the recipe for you. All these Chocolate Orange Marshmallow Crispy Cakes need are a microwave for melting and a fridge for setting. Ingredients 30g butter […]

Recipe: Cookie dough brownies

Two of my favourite things to eat are cookie dough (minus the egg!) and brownies, so I thought I would combine the two in this recipe for you. It’s easy to prepare – all you need are some bowls and a tin, and it will give you slightly gooey cookie dough brownies that are difficult to […]

As editors of student newspapers at all 24 Russell As editors of student newspapers at all 24 Russell Group universities, we stand united against the Russell Group statement which declared ‘no detriment’ or ‘safety net’ policies not to be ‘appropriate’ or ‘necessary’ for students at this time.

Having listened to students at our universities, we are calling on the Russell Group to act compassionately and empathetically and to reconsider their stance on ‘no detriment’ politics for assessments this year.

Students deserve to be listened to.
