Poltimore Sessions 2017 | Gabriel Moreno & The Quivering Poets

by Music

In collaboration with XTV and Poltimore Festival, Exeposé Music is hyped to present the Poltimore Sessions, where local artists on Poltimore Festival’s esteemed bill play a live set in the run up to the big day. This episode…

Gabriel Moreno & The Quivering Poets

Known as a Gibraltan Leonard Cohen, a bardic troubadour, songster and poet, Gabriel Moreno is a unique artist. His lyrics touch upon the emotional, love and desire, and his sound is tinged with an upbeat, folk-gypsy pep, alive with sincerity. Moreno’s Spanish guitar sings forth arpeggios reminiscent of the Mediterranean, but with a placeless and timeless folk spirit. The Quivering Poets, oddly and aptly named, provide a tentative bed for Moreno but violins have ample time to soar. This session sees Moreno and his Shivering Wordsmiths play a lengthy set of intimate and relaxed folk with their heartfelt gypsy-swing in full colour.
