Donkeys Visit Streatham Campus

On Monday 15th of January, Raise and Give society (RAG) and Mind Your Head society hosted a charity event to support Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. The event?

Donkeys on campus.

The outside of the University of Exeter forum became host to Wonky and Willow, two donkeys whose presence was aimed at collecting money for therapy work done at the Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary. Both donkeys, Willow aged 16 and Wonky aged 24, were received well and a suggested donation of £2 was given for students who wished to pet or interact with the two of them. The pair stayed around on campus from midday to 4pm, with a short break around 2pm, with RAG collecting throughout. Their social media promoted the event with the following message:

“Forget exams. Donkeys are almost here to de-stress campus!”

The event? Donkeys on campus.

The event was also in association with mental health awareness month, which also featured dogs coming onto campus in exam week of this year. RAG has not publicly stated that how much money has been raised as of yet, but they are already gearing up for their next major events in the coming months: RAG first dates and the BrightSparks challenge.
