Police are investigating a “serious assault” towards a female victim around St. German’s Road.
The area has been cordoned off as a crime scene, and the victim is being supported. Exeposé can confirm the cordon was in place as of 8:40 AM on 13 November.
A heavy police presence surrounded the cordon, with at least two uniformed detectives and marked police vans. The detectives initially told Exeposé that they were not permitted to disclose any details, as it was currently an active crime scene.
In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said “Police were notified of a serious assault which happened in the area of St Germans Road in Exeter in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 13 November.
“Cordons will remain in place while detectives continue their enquiries throughout the day.
“The female victim is being supported by specially trained officers.”

St. German’s Road is close to several Exeter University accommodation blocks, including parts of Lafrowda.

The police state that enquiries are ongoing. They also encouraged any member of the public who has information about the assault to call 101 quoting ref 75 13/11/19.
