New Chair of Governing Body appointed for University of Exeter

New Chair of Governing Body appointed for University of Exeter

The University of Exeter has appointed a new Chair of Council. Quentin Woodley has been named as the new Chair in addition to being appointed as the new Pro-Chancellor. 

The University of Exeter has stated “an experienced board chair with a background in finance, investment and strategy, Quentin was a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, the international strategy consulting firm”, highlighting Woodley’s previous roles and experience. 

“Quentin combines outstanding leadership and strategic thinking with a team team-oriented approach to working with others.”

Woodley’s appointment has been welcomed by the University of Exeter’s Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive, Professor Lisa Roberts. She has said “I’m delighted to welcome Quentin to Exeter as I know he combines outstanding leadership and strategic thinking with a collaborative, team-oriented approach to working with others.”

The Vice-Chancellor goes on to pay homage to the current Chair of Council and Pro-Chancellor, Sarah Turvill, by commenting “she has worked tirelessly for our University and led us through an exceptional period of growth.”
Woodley’s position as the Chair of Council and as the pro-chancellor will come into effect on the 1st August 2022, the University stated in a Facebook post to its followers.
