Researchers at the University of Exeter, backed by prominent divorce lawyer and Exeter alumna Baroness Fiona Shackleton, have led a study into what makes couples thrive, and identified ten key questions which are critical for new couples to consider before entering a long-term relationship.

The study is based on evidential research into the causes of divorce and relationship failures, from interviews with 43 couples at different stages in their relationships or separations, as well as divorce lawyers and judges with expertise on the topic.
