BBC Music Day Hits Exeter

Friday 28th September marked an important day in the music calendar as BBC Music Day 2018 events were held across the UK to connect communities and celebrate a variety of musicians. Exeter was lucky enough to have the opportunity to hold a BBC Music Day event at Kay House. The event was coordinated by Exeposé music editors Aaron Loose and Alex Wingrave alongside Xpression’s Heads of Music Henry Walker and Katie Fox.

The event was a great success with two stages of live music, offering varying genres of music and featuring acts including Sadie Horler, Ferris & Sylvester and Tors who were all received with immense support from the audience.

Alex Wingrave, music editor for Exeposé, said: “We’re so happy with how Music Day turned out – we have an amazing live scene in the South West and the night successfully celebrated all the musical talent on offer”.

With the success of the University of Exeter’s first BBC Music Day event, there is a hope that it will continue from year to year and grow more successful, sharing local musical talent to the students and the general public of Exeter.
