PRINT Review: Shotgun Theater’s Spring Awakening

Shotgun Theatre’s performance of Spring Awakening is nothing short of overflowing with talent, and I feel genuinely privileged to have seen it. Set in 1890s Germany, Spring Awakening is a rock musical which tells the story of a group of schoolchildren as they encounter life’s hurdles on their journey into adulthood, from wet dreams to […]

Hollywood Monopolies

After a brush with scandal over some unearthed homophobic tweets, Kevin Hart’s life insurance was looking like it would mature sooner rather than later. Thankfully, it looks like he might have picked up a ‘get out of jail free’ card in the form of his favourite pastime: A crappy movie with a stupid premise. A […]

As editors of student newspapers at all 24 Russell As editors of student newspapers at all 24 Russell Group universities, we stand united against the Russell Group statement which declared ‘no detriment’ or ‘safety net’ policies not to be ‘appropriate’ or ‘necessary’ for students at this time.

Having listened to students at our universities, we are calling on the Russell Group to act compassionately and empathetically and to reconsider their stance on ‘no detriment’ politics for assessments this year.

Students deserve to be listened to.
