The Christmas Season is upon us and with this comes the Exeter Christmas Market. However, it is easy to become lost in the midst of the stalls that sell everything from food to candles so to help I have come up with 5 top tips for viewing the market at its best.
Go multiple times. This may sound simple enough, but a recon mission is arguably needed in order to work out the food and drink you really want to try.
Lunch and dinner times are when the market is at its peak so try earlier or later to avoid the rush (warning it closes at 9 so don’t leave it too late).
Food wise I would personally recommend Urban Cowboy for their perfect chicken strips or Little Marrakech for a delicious Vegan Chickpea Tagine (Chubby Churros make a great dessert!)
For the drinkers, the many alcohol stalls provide tasters- from Rum flavoured with Devon honey to sea-breeze gins and for those who prefer non-alcoholic, hot chocolates can be found all around.
If you miss any stalls that you wanted to try don’t worry too much! The market comes back every year with many of the traders being repeat returners.
I hope you find these tips useful in exploring all that the Christmas Market has to offer!
