Senior Editors

Online Editor-in-Chief

Callum is a third year History student who has written for Exepose since his first year. Following a stint as Features Editor, he cannot wait to lead the Online team alongside Katie. For the paper, Callum has conducted high-profile interviews from Suella Braverman to John Crace to Josh Widdicombe, reported on the student protest camps for Palestine, investigated spiking in Exeter and much more. His keen interest in politics is often reflected in his writing. Outside of Exepose, Callum enjoys football (he is a former captain of the prestigious History Society FC), reading and going to the pub. Following two weeks of work experience on his local paper, Callum is keen to implement lots of new ideas, and help shape Exepose into a launchpad for aspiring student journalists. He can be contacted at cm1085@exeter.ac.uk

Online Editor-in-Chief

In the last few years, working in the world of journalism has shifted from an impossible dream to a feasible future for Katie. Being elected Online Editor-in-Chief is a huge honour and a fabulous opportunity, especially as she is constantly searching for a way to keep herself busy in between her (sparse) English and Communications classes. Working alongside the talented and experienced Callum Martin, Katie is looking to improve engagement in Exeposé. This will include encouraging anyone who will listen to her ramblings, to join the society. It’s often mistaken that Exeposé is only for the English students, but Katie aims to change this narrative. Learning how to write about the subjects you know so well (and very quickly learning others on the job) is the joy of journalism, so Katie will encourage students from all departments and backgrounds to get involved. She is also looking forward to protecting and amplifying student voices, whether that be student rights, ideas, mental health, beliefs or inequalities. Katie will fill the online site with stories that writers know they need to get into the world, and that students may not realise they need to hear. Katie’s interests vary from reading, painting and craft, to sailing, design. and writing (ofcourse) and whatever she discusses with others, she feels compelled to write about it. Her recent conversations have inspired articles on the General Election and the role of social media, and she looks to write more about climate news. and student’s perspectives on wider political happenings. She can be contacted at km797@exeter.ac.uk and found in the loft, the Exeposé/RAZZ office, or the pub.

Print Editor-in-Chief

Being a proud member, writer, editor and sesh monkey of Exeposé has been top of Gracie’s priority list since the very start. In second year, she was just days away from being prescribed strong pain medication for her back, caused solely by holding the entire weight of the Lifestyle section on her shoulders while working part time, playing netball four times a week and then squeezing in time for her degree. Gracie spent her third year teaching English in Madrid so she is certain that there is no challenge that can’t be overcome within the newspaper. After teaching nine year old Enrique for a year, arguing her point and getting her way have become her bread and butter so the role of Editor-in-Chief will come naturally to her. As probably the tallest member of the committee at nearly 6’2”, Gracie is pretty well versed in making herself seen and heard, whether it be in the newspaper itself or during her tipsy speeches made at the X-Media ball. Her favourite thing to do while studying at Exeter has been writing for and editing the newspaper so Editor-in-Chief feels like the perfect way to give back to the fantastic community of writers and readers that have nurtured her from the start. Investigations, breaking news, and personal lifestyle pieces are Gracie’s favourite thing to be involved with so this will be perfect for broadening the horizons of Exeposé while she indulges in her other passions: PG Tips tea, naps, chocolate digestives, and boys who wear rings.

Print Editor-in-Chief

A fourth year history student, Amy has written for Exeposé since she was a fresher and is so excited to help lead the print team alongside Gracie. Amy has spent the past year studying abroad in Amsterdam and will bring everything she’s learned across three years and two different university papers, to the Print Editor-in-Chief role. Having been frequently described as overly opinionated, writing articles on every topic imaginable is Amy’s favourite pastime and this year she is hoping to develop her journalistic skills and learn more about the editing process. She is particularly looking forward to getting stuck in with investigations and increasing the focus on mental health, environmental sustainability and LGBTQ+ rights (as well as remaining ever committed to sneaking as many Taylor Swift references into Exeposé articles as she can). When not in the Exeposé office, Amy can be found forcing her housemates to try her cooking, re-watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer and finding excuses not to go on runs. Most of all, Amy is thrilled to be working with such an incredible committee and excited to see where Exeposé goes this year!

Online Deputy Editor

Amberly is incredibly excited to challenge herself in the role Online Deputy Editor after spending her first year at Exeter as a writer for Exeposé, and her second year as Print Lifestyle Editor. Although print journalism has captured her heart, Amberly will be trying her hand at online journalism while undertaking her placement year at the RD&E hospital as a human clinical research assistant. Amberly studies BSc Psychology & Sport Science, which first sparked her interest in lifestyle journalism. She has written articles about a broad range of topics, from beaches to books to brunch spots, as well as writing about her own experience with mental health difficulties. Her article on suicide awareness week explores her own recovery from depression and suicidal thoughts, as well as offering guidance to others struggling, much like her eating disorder awareness week article, which received the best print contribution at the Exeposé end of year awards in the summer of 2024. While her dream in life is to be a doctor in the field of psychology, Amberly’s passion for journalism keeps her busy mind at bay and provides a place for all her chaotic rambles and thoughts. Amberly loves sport and being outdoors, and she plays hockey for ISCA HC. She is a lover of coffee and music and has been to more concerts than she can count. Amberly hopes she can use her senior position to raise awareness around the mental health difficulties students face, and make help and make advice articles more accessible on the website, for all students to read.

Online Deputy Editor

As an intrepid Archaeology and Anthropology student who has just returned from her year abroad, Emily is excited to be back, now as a member of Exeposé’s Online Senior Team. Fresh from her time in the beautiful city of Venice, she is eager to infuse her articles with the same zest as an Aperol Spritz! Emily is looking forward to giving her own take on a wide array of engaging content that encompasses the various aspects of modern life. As both a British and French national (and also someone who has the travel bug!), she is keen to use Exeposé’s platform to delve into stories from around the globe, with an emphasis on celebrating diverse cultures. Having started the ‘In the Spotlight’ column during her time as Online Lifestyle Editor, she aims to keep this series up in order to highlight Exeter’s small local businesses or charities. When she is not sat in a coffee shop with a good book and her laptop, Emily enjoys arts and crafts, nights out starting at Impy and ending at TP, museum and gallery trips, as well as songwriting sessions at the piano! Emily hopes that, as an Online Deputy Editor, she can contribute to another successful year for Exeter’s number one newspaper.

Print Deputy Editor

After a whirlwind tenure as Print Satire Editor, Rosie is looking forward to the many challenges and opportunities life as Print Deputy Editor might bring. She is (hopefully) ready for her final year studying English here at Exeter, which she has loved every minute of so far. Rosie is looking to bring her affinity for political analysis to the table in her new role at Exeposé. As Deputy Editor, she will do her best to keep Exeposé a current and prominent mouthpiece for students: she feels strongly about access and representation in media, and hopes to boost a diverse array of opinions and voices in the newsroom. She is really excited to continue writing for lots of different sections and will push herself out of her comfort zone this year. She might even attempt to write for Sports again (sorry in advance to this year’s sports editors). Outside of Exeposé and her degree, Rosie loves reading (recently lots of Irish literature) and exploring the local countryside with her friends. She also sometimes bakes, though not always successfully, and loves anything tea-related. Rosie feels it’s really important that the editorial team continue to be approachable for readers and contributors alike, and her (virtual) door will always be open for any queries and suggestions. She’s also always happy to take any recommendations of books/films/cafés/other miscellaneous things!

Print Deputy Editor

After a stint as Print News editor, Charlie is thrilled to be elected to the heady heights of Deputy Editorship. Currently in his third year studying history, he is looking forward to writing about current affairs and investigating the news stories which matter to students in Exeter and the country, rather than investigating the effects of tax policy in the Byzantine Empire in the fourteenth century. When not working hard on the next big scoop, Charlie can be found boring his friends to death about the most inane political trivia, being slowly indoctrinated into the surprisingly deep lore of Taylor Swift, and playing his oboe at every possible opportunity.

Print Deputy Editor

After her consistent work for the International Print and Online sections for the past two years, Agata brings her enthusiasm into the role of Print Deputy Editor. She spent the third year of her degree in Madrid, learning about the complexities of Spanish language and literature and exploring the country. Now, as she is back to finish her studies, she will focus on ensuring the smooth operation of the newspaper. She will make sure that the Exeposé continues to grow its community, covering news stories that are significant to Exeter students. Given that she has an international background, she can provide a different angle when looking at world news and she can be a support for students from other countries who wish to get more involved in article writing. In her free time, Agata enjoys an evening with a good book, drawing or learning new languages, as if knowing three wasn’t enough. She is open-minded and she is always up for a new challenge, trying out a new hobby or meeting new people. Considering that, she can approach her role creatively and bring a breath of fresh air into the Exeposé team.

News Team

Online News Editor

Shagnick, who also goes by Nick, is excited beyond measure to be taking up this post. A postgraduate student of History in love with academia and research, he has an immense enthusiasm for journalism. He has been a part of Exeposé for about a year now, having written several articles across multiple sections and gained a lot of valuable experience along the way. He hopes to give his best to this section, involving things like encouraging more investigative pieces, and a greater number of articles in their content calls.

Committed to turning Exepose into the vulture press, he plans to overthrow all the senior editors within a year in a revolution not unlike that of 1798, so that we can have the one true Editor-in-Chief: Napoleon. Yes, the celebrity cat. Nick is quite fond of him.

Comment Team

Online Comment Editor

As Online Comment Editor for 2024-5, Sophie always been interested in events happening around the world, and opinion. Her Modern Languages degree has enabled her to spend time in both Italy and Spain this year, which has completely broadened her perspectives on topics and left her with some great memories. Most of Sophie’s interest in languages stems from its links to history and literature, which make up a lot of my chosen modules back at university, where she will now be a 4th year! Aside from her studies, one of Sophie’s favourite things to do is play tennis, therefore her active role as Vice-Captain for the Exeter Tennis Club last year was extremely fun and fulfilling. She will hopefully return to compete in BUCS matches at Exeter and coach sessions each week, but would also love to try new sports such as netball or swimming. She believes this love for sports will definitely manifest itself every now and again in Comment. Sophie is really looking forward to reading everyone’s articles and finding out more about how we can make a difference in Exeposé this year. Having also studied fine art before university, she would be very keen to incorporate even more creative or visual aspects into the newspaper or hear about any new ideas!

Thomas Richardson

Print Comment Editor

Moving into his second year of reading History, Tom is the new Print Comment Editor at Exepose. Tom understands the importance Exepose plays in upholding free press. Tom is committed to ensuring that the Comment section should welcome a wide range of views, even those we may dislike, in a respectful and inclusive manner, with more emphasis on for and against debates within the pages. Tom’s long term hopes for the Comment pages are for involvement external to Exepose, allowing for relevant guest writers from certain societies and backgrounds to comment on particular affairs. Putting aside his ambitions for the section, he is looking forward to writing columns about the ever chaotic ordeals in Washington, Westminster and Whitehall delving into the first and most important year of this new government, and what could be the last year across the pond.

Features Team

Online Features Editor

Having set her eyes on joining Exeposé ever since receiving her first copy of the university newspaper at Freshers’ Week, Michelle is thrilled to resume her role as Online Features Editor this year. She has explored her passion for writing through contributing to other sections such as Comment, Tech, and Music, but has ultimately decided to stay true to her undeniable fondness for Features. As both a law student and an active member of Debating Society, she is looking forward to capturing spoken voices into written form articles to eternalize this year’s most heated debates. Being an international student from Hong Kong, Michelle will make it her challenge to recruit more international peers to get involved with Exeposé to expand the paper’s student perspective and, of course, lead us to more exceptional exposés.

Print Features Editor

From the trivial to the momentous, Print Features editor Eleanor covers it all. From the personal, to the cultural, and of most interest: the political.

With discussions on events like Black Friday, Eleanor dissects the more fundamental issues of environmentalism and consumerism. Along with deep dives into cultural phenomenons and scandals: Prince Harry – the victim of an institution or the weaponiser of social justice warriors?

Beyond the personal, Eleanor explores the political on both a domestic and international level. Looking into the history of the Rwanda policy, outlining legal challenges while situating the policy within conservative ideology.

Dipping into Royal scandal, Eleanor exposes shocking leaks and speculations. Unveiling the details of the Royal row in Omid Scobie’s endgame. Contextualizing the debate, Eleanor acknowledges the social climate of racial justice.

With a more global outlook, Eleanor looks into the lead up to the US Presidential election, the Russia- Ukraine conflict, and the implications of recognizing Palestine as a state.

With a focus on condensing policy into bite sized articles, Eleanor summarizes party politics and current events. With the US Presidential Election, Eleanor details key policy areas like abortion, immigration, and personal finances.

Maintaining neutrality is central to Eleanor’s political analysis. While discussing the recognition of a Palestinian state by Spain, Norway, and Ireland, Eleanor considers concerns on both sides. Duly noting those reservations for Israel’s security, and those advocating for Palestinian recognition in the hope of advancing a peace deal.

Returning to the personal, Eleanor puts her personal experiences and observations to use. In true Satire form, providing an itinerary for the ‘Exeter Rah-ces’, including ‘cereal with a side of Tequila’ and trashing the trust fund. And on a more serious tone, Eleanor delves into the rising sobriety culture.

With wide ranging interests, Eleanor explores those experiences most relatable to students, to those issues with global impact, amongst all drawing out the underlying themes and ideologies.

Sport Team

Print Sports Editor

Eloise, 20, is a third year Flexible Combined Honours student studying Film and Television Studies and Geography. Shortly after joining the society, Eloise was elected to be the Print Sport Editor for the 23/24 academic year. She has been re-elected to withhold this position into the 24/25 academic year. By February 2024, she achieved the Rainbow Award to certify that she has written across all twelve sections of the newspaper, her work appearing both online and in print.

Despite writing a multitude of articles for Exeposé – ranging from news articles covering major storms to lifestyle articles on her favourite smoothie recipe – her interests lie in Formula One and Premier League Football in particular. But, she isn’t afraid to delve into lesser-known sports or report on university level sporting events.

Eloise has had experience conducting interviews, filming and photographing matches, as well as attending journalism workshops to cover ethics and media law. She is always keen to take advantage of press passes to tournaments, often reporting on Varsity rugby at Exeter’s local arenas. Taking it to an international level, Eloise frequently updates the paper on Formula One news, ranging from driver specific reports, to team announcements and race recaps. She especially enjoys any exposure to the motorsport world, having attended the Redbull Homerun, Goodwood Festival of Speed and Porsche Trackdays at Goodwood Circuit.

Using her keen eye for cinematic perfection from her degree, Eloise loves filming and photographing as much as possible to provide the paper with its own original images to print – these have included university sport students at Sandy Park Stadium, West Ham United players at the London Stadium, and even Max Verstappen in Milton Keynes!

Print Sports Editor

Ben is completing a law conversion in his final year at Exeter after achieving an undergraduate in History. Following taking on the role of Print Sports Editor midway through last year, Ben looks forward to continuing the role for a full year. As an avid fan of all sports, Ben started out as a contributor for the Online Sports Section in his first year. Ben has tackled the big sporting questions from the safeguarding of players in contact sports, institutional racism in cricket, and the rise of running culture alongside reporting on local and international topics. During his undergraduate at Exeter, Ben played Rugby Union, Cricket, Touch Rugby, and 6-a-side-football, and he enjoys playing in the Touch Duckes tournament every year. Away from university, Ben travels back home as a veteran Leicester Tigers season ticket holder and tries to watch as many Chelsea games as he can. Further hobbies include more physical activity, particularly running and going to the gym five times a week. You can probably find Ben midweek in the Sports Park at the crack of dawn and on weekend mornings running at the Exeter Quay! Now in his fourth year at Exeter, Ben is looking to enter the world of law with a condensed conversion course. After establishing connections with Exeter Chiefs last year, Ben is also extremely excited to consolidate a close relationship with Exeposé for exclusive access for interviews and matchday press passes. As Sports Editor for his second term, Ben looks forward to maintaining high-standard and expanding content for Exeposé Print Sport readers.

Lifestyle Team

Print Lifestyle Editor

As a Third Year Human Geography student, Anna’s interest in journalism grew in her Second Year when she decided to become a member of the Exeposé. Although she has an interest in many sections, the Lifestyle section is certainly her favourite to both read and write for. Her plans for the future of the Lifestyle section are to place a large focus on ways to improve student lives in an affordable and accessible way. From social events, to artistic outlets, exercise and wellbeing, Anna plans to cover a wide range of Lifestyle topics for all people to enjoy. When she is not researching the latest lifestyle trends, Anna can be found in dance classes that often consume both her evenings and her social life. As someone who enjoys a relaxed and calm environment, Anna can often be found drawing or playing her guitar with a cup of coffee nearby, or hanging out with her two cats as her favourite writing companions.

Music Team

Online Music Editor

As online Music Editor, Zandie has written on a number of topics from album reviews to the importance of record covers in the modern era. He has written on releases of a number of artists, from Tom Grennan to Liam Gallagher.

Zandie also has a passion for film and spends far too much time on the Letterboxd app. He has written on the importance of isolation and atmosphere within the horror genre, and has an article previewing the cinema releases of 2024.

He has also covered the world of sport, with a preview of the 2024 Champions League final and a piece regarding the popular Fantasy Premier League mobile app, providing advice on the best players to own and score you points.

Print Music Editor

In his second year studying History, Harry is thrilled to step into the role of Print Music Editor, hoping to seal in his boundless enthusiasm for the topic. His passion for music spans a vast array of genres and artists, from the likes of Rex Orange County to Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles to Mac DeMarco, and Miles Davis to Billy Joel. With his extensive taste in music, Harry is aiming to give creative liberty to writers as an editor, looking forward to creating articles on a variety of artists and genres to not only develop his understanding of current and past trends in music but also the readers. If he’s not got his Air Pods in listening to songs on Spotify, Harry is blasting out tunes from his record player, using his wide range of vinyl’s from his collection. Collecting vinyls is a hobby that he picked up over covid, developing his affection for music. Harry’s musical journey is not just confined to his vinyl collection, as his expansive taste in music is mirrored in his diverse concert experiences, having attended performances by artists around the globe. Whether it’s Billy Joel at Maddison Square Gardens or indie bands at small venues in London, Harry thrives on the energy and connection that live music provides. Outside of his studies, Harry can be found in the pub or TP, especially in Old Timers enjoying a cold pint of Guinness. He is also a keen member of the University of Exeter Tennis Club, enjoying their weekly socials as well as playing tennis. With his passion for music and varied experiences, Harry’s ready to bring fresh energy and a unique perspective to his role as Print Music Editor.

Print Music Editor

After a year of writing for expose, Brooke is thrilled to be the print music editor for the 2024-25 year. In her third year of an English degree, she spends more time curating Spotify playlists to soundtrack her essays than actually writing them. In her new role she’d love to highlight more of Exeter’s student talent, from soul choir to independent artists performing at places like Cavern and The Old Firehouse. She’s also an avid vinyl collector, bringing her record player and vinyl collection back and forth from uni every term, and always on the hunt for a new album to add. When it comes to her own personal journalistic interests, reviewing new releases and investigating the impact of AI on various aspects of the music industry is what interests her most. When she’s not scouring Spotify’s release radar or writing something new, she’s usually in TP or Cavern trying to get her latest song obsession played to varying degrees of success. Her go-to artists to listen to while studying are Dire Straits, Mazzy Star, or Alex G, and a band she’s really looking forward to hearing more from this year are Fontaines D.C. As music editor Brooke is keen to work closely with the writers and other editors to deliver a section which can both inform readers of the best new artists they should be adding to their playlists, as well as emotional and personal pieces about the music which is shaping student’s lives.

Screen Team

Online Screen Editor

Hi! I’m Dumebi, a second-year student studying Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE). I’m passionate about film and videography, always on the lookout for captivating stories and stunning visuals. When I’m not behind the camera or engrossed in editing, you’ll likely find me with my nose buried in a novel, exploring diverse worlds and narratives. I look forward to sharing my insights and creative projects with the Exeposé community.

Online Screen Editor

Bronwyn is a third-year English student with an eclectic film taste. It ranges from a love of Japanese anime such as Ponyo, to Indie films such as Aftersun and Petite Maman, and the reinforcement of the superiority of Dirty Dancing. She also has a burgeoning obsession with Doctor Who, in all its media forms. A rampant addiction to Letterboxd provides a good excuse for procrastination, and she can often be found doing crosswords, and every wordle related puzzle under the sun. When she emerges from the glow of a TV screen, Bronwyn enjoys reading, writing and running (although not at the same time), as well as spending probably too much time absorbing news articles. After writing for the newspaper last year, she has joined the committee as Online Screen Editor where she hopes to continue the spotlight on international cinema as well as providing space for guilty pleasures closer to home.

Print Screen Editor

Charlie’s hurtling into his third year studying English. He joined Exeposé last year and threw himself straight into the paper as Print Tech Editor and is now very excited to edit for another passion of his: screen. Some of his film favourites include The Shawshank Redemption, Se7en and his guilty pleasure Groundhog Day. He is passionate about writing, creative or critical, with a particular focus on analysis through a technological or psychological lens. In his free time he will tell you he is writing short stories or painting a portrait, but he’s probably just playing video games. As Print Screen Editor he is looking forward to getting stuck into the world of screen, and especially hopes to make the section more interactive, to really keep his finger on the pulse of what people are loving watching right now.

Print Screen Editor

Pollyanna Roberts is a fourth year studying English Literature. She has just returned from a year studying in sunny Florida, where she developed her love for film and writing. Having been Print Screen Editor for two years prior to her year abroad, Pollyanna is really excited to return to the role and experiment with exciting articles and editing. Her love for film is palpable, and she hopes to go into the film industry and even write and direct films. Or, at the very least, spend her days writing about film! Pollyanna has been a member of Exeposé her whole time at Exeter and has loved every moment of it, especially when she has to brainstorm article ideas for the writers. She tries to make sure her content calls are topical, unique and passionate, while also giving writers the freedom to explore their own ideas. While on her year abroad, Pollyanna was lucky enough to travel all around the States, and even got to spend a week in the heart of Western Cinema: Los Angeles. Being surrounded by Hollywood was incredibly inspiring and only made her love for cinema grow. Pollyanna will spend her summer before returning to Exeter writing as much as she can, and seeing as many new films as possible: her favourite film of 2024 is Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers, which she saw multiple times in the cinema. Pollyanna is also about to embark on two weeks of work experience with a production company in Soho, London. She knows this will enrich her knowledge of the film world and she cannot wait to take this newfound knowledge and growing passion back to Exeter with her.

Arts & Lit Team

Online Arts & Lit Editor

From humble contributor to Print Screen Editor, and most recently Online Arts & Lit Editor, Emily loves nothing more than rambling about her favourite books and films, as well as delving deeper into the artistic world around them, and sneaking a peek behind the scenes. Having written across various Exeposé sections, she aims to entertain and thrill readers with passionate convictions and the odd scathing cynicism, whether she is shamelessly nerding out about cinema or exploring poignant topics of the day.

Judith Dodd

Print Arts & Lit Editor

Judy is in her last year of English and creative writing at Exeter and is over the moon to be joining Kayleigh as print Arts and Lit editor this year. She is half English but grew up in Belgium, where she will probably return back after uni, which breaks her heart as this means saying goodbye to English coastlines, good surf, pasties and her uni friends – at least for a little while.

She only started as a contributing writer to Exeposé last year, but has completely fallen in love with the newspaper. In the weeks when she has inevitably missed another content call because she never checks Facebook on time, she can be found writing short stories and poetry – something she hopes to turn into a job one day.

She loves art, usually has her nose stuck in a book, loves the theatre and will cry when watching pretty much any film. In her spare time she helps out at Book Cycle, the cosiest book shop in Exeter or can be found beating her opponent in tennis. She loves attending the theatre and can’t promise that she won’t be opinionated when she writes her reviews. During her time as print editor, she hopes to include lots of interviews with creatives and the opportunity for personal articles.

Print Arts & Lit Editor

As a third year English student, Kayleigh can be found non-stop reading and writing, whether that be for essays, Exepose or fun. When she is eventually dragged away from the word docs she can be found browsing books she will never buy, binge watching Gilmore girls or most commonly listening to Taylor Swift on repeat. Her most common sightings in Exeter include the TP dancefloor, waterstones and turtle bay. She also loves hanging out with friends over coffee or a bottle of wine. After editing the screen section last year, she is very excited to move onto Arts + Lit and to talk about all her book obsessions. One of Kayleigh’s passions is to make the arts accessible and inclusive to everyone and aims to uphold that idea in this section. She is looking forward to working with the new editorial team and making new friends!

International Team

Online International Editor

Hi, I’m Annabel and I am 1/2 of the Online International team this year! I am currently in my third year of my Modern Languages degree, editing articles all the way from lovely Murcia in the south of Spain where I am teaching English as well as gaining experience at local newspapers. I have been writing for Exeposé print and online since my first year, covering articles on a range of topics, but with a particular interest in international current affairs and women’s rights. Two of my particular favourites are my article ‘Barbie and Women’s Bodies in the 2023 Fashion Industry’ for the Exeposé Online Comment section as well as my pitch for the Empoword Journalism Sports section about the ACL ‘epidemic’ in female football players

Hey! I’m Magda, and I am 1/2 of your Online International Editors! I have been writing for Exeposé since the start of my first year and have written articles for all sections of the newspaper, achieving the Exeposé Rainbow in my second year. This year, I will be in the final year of my Politics and Philosophy degree, and I am so excited to deliver new content to the International section. My fundamental journalistic interest revolves around politics; hence the decision to take up International as my editorial choice. I have moved countries twice in my life and I am well aware of the cultural and political shocks of this. I see politics as an essential aspect of my everyday life, and my crucial interest in this is public policy and legislation in specific relation to disability and equality. However, this is not to say that International will be all about politics: politics is a significant part of it, but I aim to make International into anything from language learning to the experience of non-UK-based students, as well as different ways of celebrating holidays around the world. I hope you will look forward to my articles and content calls as much as I look forward to writing and publishing them!

Henry is a third-year history student excited to start his first editor role at Exeposé. Wanting to explore a more creative side, Henry joined Exepose in Second Year, and since then, has written several articles, ranging from a methane leak in Kazakhstan to a local Exeter housing development. Having been born in Spain and being half Spanish, Henry is interested in international affairs and the wider world more generally. He hopes to combine coverage of the important international news with other more light hearted and fun pieces, such as what our students are up to abroad, what our international community do here in Exeter, and tips on travelling, working or living internationally! A lover of the outdoors, he likes to play tennis and run, and can be found procrastinated on his Stalinist Russia readings by planning endless walks all over Dartmoor.

Tech Team

Online Tech Editor

Daniel is a first-year computer science student with a passion for journalism. He founded and edited his secondary school’s student-led newspaper. This was guided by his belief that great stories come from providing a platform to showcase the diversity of a community’s perspectives. Like any computer scientist, outside his course’s endless programming workload, he likes to try his hand at programming. While it’s all quite new to him, he works on several different projects in his spare time and is particularly interested in the headline-making breakthroughs in AI and LLMs. As a coding latecomer compared to most of his peers, he is often found promising that anyone can get into programming – just as he likes to claim that even computing students can take up writing (just ask ChatGPT that). He should also possibly add that he had a tendency to be distracted by his writing endeavours at school: he’s trying not to replicate that mistake at Exeter. Off the course, Daniel tries to catch some sunlight. He enjoys exploring what Devon has to offer – countryside and culture – an outlook he looks forward to bringing to his role, highlighting lesser-known and local themes as tech editor. Thirsty to satisfy his ‘creative’ streak in his free time, he has recently taken up 3D design using CAD software – his proudest moments so far being creating bespoke flower pots and garden paraphernalia. This, he assures, counts as keeping up to date with the latest rural tech developments.

Satire Team

Online Satire Editor

Caspian Davies has been a member of the Exposé since Christmas of 2023 and has since written on a wide variety of subjects ranging from geopolitical events and domestic politics, too the great EGB FIXR crash of 2024.

Caspian believes that satire is an excellent tool in which to express and make light of some of the events, interests and absurdities that members of this great university face.

This year Caspian is hoping to add a greater spectrum of topics in which members may wish to write on that will expand outside of the University. With daily news often feeling drab or repetitive, he would like to allow writers to be creative in reporting national events, whilst still maintaining the localised charm that the satire section has prided itself in these last years.

He is excited to read the creative pieces that those writers put forward, not matter how outrageous or absurd they may be.
